Not everything private is a photo. Lockilee's file vault encrypts downloads, exports and any other file type on your device, organized into folders you control.
Android's default Files app shows everything to anyone who opens it — downloaded statements, exported chat backups, spreadsheets, archives, the lot. There's no built-in way to lock a single folder or file without locking the whole app or the whole phone.
Lockilee's file vault gives specific files a separate, encrypted home instead. Once a file is moved into the vault, it's encrypted on your device and no longer visible in your regular Files app.
Move files from your Downloads folder, storage, or other apps into the vault.
Each file is encrypted with a key derived from your PIN and stored in app-private storage.
Group files into folders, and lock the most sensitive ones with their own PIN.
Files no longer appear in your regular Files app or in other apps that browse shared storage.
Any file type on your device — downloads, exported chat backups, spreadsheets, archives, and anything else you'd rather not leave in your regular Files app.
They're the same underlying vault. The Photo, Video, File and Document pages each focus on a specific type of content people search for, but everything lives together in one encrypted space, organized into folders.
Depends on the file type — Lockilee can preview common formats directly, and for anything else you can move a copy back out when you actually need to use it elsewhere, re-encrypting it again once you're done.
Yes. Once a file is safely encrypted inside the vault, the original copy is removed from your device's regular storage so it isn't left duplicated in two places.
