Lockilee is a secure vault for Android. Your photos, videos, documents and files are encrypted on your own device — Lockilee's servers never see them, and nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly choose to share it.
Lockilee is an Android app for keeping specific photos, videos, documents, files and apps private — away from your regular gallery, away from anyone who picks up your phone, and away from cloud backups you didn't ask for.
Instead of moving your private files to someone else's server, Lockilee encrypts them where they already are: on your device. When you import a photo or file into the vault, it's encrypted using a key derived from your own PIN and stored in app-private storage that other apps — and your phone's regular Gallery and Files apps — can't read. The original copy is removed from public storage, so it stops appearing in your camera roll or any app that scans your media.
Lockilee is built around one idea: your files, your device, your privacy. That shapes almost every design decision in the app, from what data the backend is allowed to store to how the vault disguises itself when you want it to be invisible.
Lockilee covers the two things people most often want to keep private on a shared or lost phone: specific media and files, and specific apps.
Move private photos into the encrypted vault, or shoot new ones directly into it with the Private Camera.
Store private videos encrypted on-device, with the same PIN and biometric protection as the rest of your vault.
Keep scans, PDFs and other personal documents out of your regular Files app and out of unlocked view.
Anything else you'd rather not leave lying around — organized into PIN-locked folders inside the vault.
Lock individual apps with App Lock so they require your PIN or biometrics to open, independent of your vault content.
The vault is the core of Lockilee — a single, PIN-protected space where photos, videos, documents and files are encrypted on your device and organized into folders. Nothing you add to the vault appears in your regular gallery, file browser, or any app that scans shared storage.
Renaming a file or moving it to a hidden folder isn't real protection — any file browser can still open it. Lockilee's vault encrypts the file itself, so it can't be opened outside the app even if someone finds it.
Beyond files, Lockilee can lock individual apps — messaging apps, banking apps, galleries, anything — behind your PIN or biometrics.
Choose exactly which apps require unlocking; everything else on your phone opens normally.
Hand your phone to someone else without worrying about them opening a specific app.
Locked apps re-lock when they leave the foreground, so a single unlock doesn't stay open all day.
Disguise mode isn't a second app bolted on — it's Lockilee itself, running as a fully working calculator until your unlock code is entered.
Everyday use → calculator, does math
Your unlock code → opens the real vault
Turn Lockilee into a real, working calculator — same icon, same name, same keypad behavior — so it doesn't draw attention on your home screen. Enter your secret code instead of doing math, and the vault opens.
Shoot directly into the vault instead of importing afterward — the moment you take a photo or video, it's encrypted and never touches your phone's regular camera roll.
Organize the vault into folders and lock specific ones with their own PIN — useful if you share access to parts of your vault but want one folder kept back.
The API behind Lockilee is intentionally narrow:
email address (sign-in)
registered device list
subscription tier (Free / Yearly)
— that's the entire account record.
your photos, videos, documents and files: never received, never stored server-side.
Set a PIN as your baseline unlock method, and turn on fingerprint or face unlock on devices that support it for faster access. Lockilee re-locks automatically when it leaves the foreground.
Install Lockilee and set the PIN that will unlock your vault and derive your on-device encryption key.
Import existing photos, videos, documents and files into the vault, or capture new ones directly with the Private Camera.
Turn on App Lock for sensitive apps, organize folders with their own PINs, and enable Calculator Disguise if you want the vault hidden entirely.
Every part of Lockilee is built around keeping your private files on your device and out of anyone else's hands — including ours.
That's a deliberate constraint, not a marketing line. The vault's encryption keys are derived from your PIN on your device; Lockilee doesn't hold a master copy that could be used to decrypt your files remotely. There's no optional cloud sync toggle to accidentally leave on. If you delete your account, your local vault and its contents are wiped from the device in the same action.

Guides on hiding photos, locking apps, and understanding on-device encryption — written to answer the question first.

No. Every file you add to Lockilee is encrypted and stored in app-private storage on your own device. Lockilee's servers never receive or store your photos, videos, documents or files — the backend only ever handles your email, your registered devices, and your subscription status.
Photos, videos, documents and other files inside the encrypted vault, plus any app on your phone using App Lock. You can also shoot new photos and videos straight into the vault with the Private Camera, so they never touch your public gallery.
It's a mode that makes Lockilee look and behave like an ordinary calculator app — same icon, same name, same working keypad — until you enter your secret unlock code, which opens the real vault instead.
Yes. The vault is locked behind your PIN or biometrics (fingerprint or face, where your device supports it), Lockilee blocks screenshots of vault content, and hides vault screens from the recent-apps preview switcher.
Yes. Because encryption and storage both happen on-device, you can add, view and organize your vault content with no connection at all. An internet connection is only needed for account sign-in and subscription checks.
Lockilee is free to start, with 10 slots shared across files and locked apps. The Yearly plan is $15/year and removes that limit, unlocking unlimited files and locked apps plus priority support.
