If you already understand what a calculator vault is, here's how to actually set one up using Lockilee's Calculator Disguise.

1

Set up your vault first

Before enabling the disguise, get your Private Vault set up with a PIN and whatever files you want protected — the disguise is a layer on top of the existing vault, not a separate setup process.

2

Turn on Calculator Disguise

Enable the disguise mode from within the app's settings. This changes the app's everyday appearance and behavior to a working calculator.

3

Choose a secret unlock code

Pick a sequence you'll type on the calculator's keypad to open the real vault. Choose something you'll remember but wouldn't type by accident during normal calculator use.

4

Test it before relying on it

Close the app fully, reopen it, confirm it behaves as a normal calculator, and confirm your code correctly opens the vault. It's worth verifying this once rather than assuming it works.

A few practical tips

  • Don't choose a code that resembles a common calculation someone might type out of curiosity (like "1+1=").
  • Remember that the app's icon and name stay as a calculator on your home screen — that's intentional, not a bug.
  • The files inside are protected the same way as a non-disguised vault — the disguise changes visibility, not the underlying encryption.
If you change your mind: the disguise is a mode you can turn off, returning the app to its normal appearance, without affecting the files already stored in the vault.
